Low Blood Pressure in Premature Newborns: Understanding Hypotension in Early Infancy

Image
Hypotension in preterm neonates presents a significant challenge in neonatal care, given their immature cardiovascular systems and the abrupt transition from the intrauterine to extrauterine environment. These infants often struggle to maintain adequate blood pressure due to underdeveloped cardiac function, limited responsiveness to catecholamines , and susceptibility to fluid shifts. Clinical signs of hypotension may include poor perfusion, tachycardia , decreased urine output, and respiratory distress. Prompt recognition and management are essential to prevent complications such as organ hypoperfusion and ischemia, which can have long-term consequences on neurodevelopment and overall health. Treatment strategies for hypotension in preterm neonates typically involve a stepwise approach. Initially, optimizing respiratory support and ensuring adequate fluid resuscitation are crucial. If hypotension persists, inotropic medications like dopamine or dobutamine may be administered to imp

Covid-19 impact on Diabetes Patient's

Image
Introduction: Covid-19 is a pandemic disease with a high risk of comorbidity and mortality in patients with (Hypertension, Pulmonary Disease, Cancer, Diabetes…). The current study was carried out to investigate the effect of Covid-19 on patients with Diabetes in Afghan Japan Communicable Disease Hospital, Kabul. 2021 Method: This (descriptive-analytic) study was conducted on 102 diabetes patients who were confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 detected RT-PCR results including Fasting & Random Blood sugar reports and admission files study. The data was analysed using SPSS 20 (IBM). Results: We found, most of patients experienced severe to more-severe sign and symptoms with a high mortality rate of (49%), also, most of these patients died due to pneumonia, ARDS, Respiratory and Cardio Pulmonary Arrest, we found that only (1%) patients were in normal diabetes stage.

Neonatal and Pediatric intestinal obstruction

Image
Vomiting in children is common and mostly related to medical condition. However there are surgical conditions associated with vomiting, which needs to be acknowledged and diagnosed early. Bilious vomiting is an ominous symptom and needs to be taken seriously. Any baby who vomits bile should be considered as having an underlying intestinal obstruction until proved otherwise. Recognize the difference between vomiting due to medical and that related to surgical pathology Discuss  the different causes of surgical vomiting  Review the impact of  bilious vomiting and its significance

Common surgical cases seen by the neonatal health caregiver. Case based interactive presentation

Image
The presentation will discuss common case scenarios seen by the neonatal health care professionals in an interactive way including the topics of oesophageal atresia, Anorectamalformations in both males and females, causes of neonatal bilious vomiting ( upper gastrointestinal obstruction)   as partial and complete duodenal obstruction , intestinamalrotation or midgut volvulus, jejunal obstruction, annular pancreas, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, surgical causes of abdominal distention ( lower intestinal obstruction) as Hirschsprung disease,   meconium ileus and meconium plug, anterior abdominal wall defects as exomphalos major, minor, gastroschisis and hernia of the umbilical cord.  Also will discuss the topic of difficult vascular access and the principles of open central line insertion. The target is to give neonatal health care professionals a solid basis on how to collect clinical data and interpret it to do the right step in management regardless of the diagnose. Also to give a bird&

Telemedicine and E-health

Image
Telemedicine & E-health offer necessary tools for home health care, remote case monitoring, complaint operation, and advances in technology for medical centres, interpreters, and hospitals not only for pastoral health and battleground care, but also for nursing home, supported living installations, maritime and aeronautics settings. E-health includes the use of the other electronic media or an internet. Telemedicine is the use of advanced telecommunication and information technologies in order to give clinical health care at a distance. It helps to exclude distance walls and can ameliorate access to medical services that would frequently not be constantly available in distant pastoral communities. It's also used to save lives in critical care and exigency situations.

Nutrition is about eating a healthy food and maintenance balanced diet. Drink and Food provide the energy and nutrients you need to fit. Understanding these nutrition terms may make it easier for you to make better food

Infectious Diseases, Oncology and Cancer Diagnosis

Image
Infectious diseases are caused by infectious organisms. Typically, these are viruses, bacteria, parasites, worms/ helminths, or fungi. Under normal circumstances, when the immune system of the host is strong, disease symptoms may not develop. If the host immune system is week, or the infectious agent overwhelms the immune system, an infectious disease ensues. This arises through transmission from an infected person, an infected animal, or a contaminated inanimate object to a susceptible host. Oncology is a branch of drug that deals with the study, opinion, treatment and forestalment of cancer, it describes the complaint which some of the body's cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other corridor of the body. Cancer can start nearly anywhere in the mortal body, which is made up of trillions of cells. The process of relating a complaint, injury from its signs or condition, and symptoms.
